Marco Turrubiates - CPA

Marco Turrubiates is the CPA for Down by the Border.  His involvement stems from having a sister with Down syndrome who will be 28 this year, and has been a blessing to his life.  He was pleased to be invited to participate in such a worthwhile organization, and is looking forward to serving and sharing his ideas and experiences to help this program grow even more.  He looks forward to being a positive influence and making positive changes in the community and throughout the state.

Marco is a Certified Public Accountant by profession.  He is a graduate of UT Pan American in Edinburg, and has worked in the healthcare arena since he graduated from college in 1994.  With over 15 years experience in accounting, Marco is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Mercy Kids Rehab; a comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facility that works with children. “I enjoy being associated with Mercy Kids because it allows me, although indirectly, to have a great deal of influence and provide children with the type of quality care I would want for my own sister.” -Mr. Turrubiates

When Marco is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family.  He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing, but still makes time to coach his sons basketball team and attend his daughters soccer games.
